MagicSoft
MagicSoft is a software alternative to the Magic 1500 appliance. It is ideal for small environments or where installation into a server room is not permitted. Developed by Miracom Network, MagicSoft is a proprietary software that can be downloaded onto an organization’s network, enabling the monitoring of that organization’s print devices. MagicSoft collects data on print devices connected to the network, including maintenance parameter and printer diagnostics data, such as toner usage, printer duty cycle, maintenance alerts, page counts, cartridge yields, and over two dozen other data attributes. This data is transmitted to a server where it is stored, compiled into a relational database, from which information can be retrieved and subsequently analyzed to manage and optimize a print environment. Data from non-networked print devices can be manually entered into the database.
Installation
MagicSoft can be installed in minutes either via a link e-mailed to your customer or your customer logging directly into the application. A unique key will be generated and must be inputted during installation to start the monitoring process. Other than your customer downloading the software onto a networked computer, MagicSoft requires virtually no customer support. Settings for MagicSoft monitors a customer’s print environment can be changed through the application, just like the Magic 1500. The customer can also change certain settings by accessing the software from the computer it resides on. Miracom’s IT department will talk with your prospects and with your customer’s IT personnel, whenever you request us to, in order to make them as comfortable as possible with the integrity of our solution.
